the lushness of the verdant countryside lays heavy on my senses so fragrant with the scent of new green (does it smell like grass.....or just green?) the pinks smell oh so sherbet sweet the blue of the sky smells like crisp cool waters the deep greens of the forest have an earthy tone the purples smell like purples should smell fruity and smooth and honey sweet the yellow's scent is so so fragile like a colored moth taken to wing or a frail petal fallen from on high yellow is by far the hardest to describe I'd like to say it smells like the sun but I've never known the sun's scent so maybe it smells like deep deep summer all sunny fresh and clean the grey of the shale rocks smell like a mountain cave with a hint of a hidden secret or two thrown in for good measure I believe white is the epiphany of scent pure and innocent, gentle and kind the ivory flower nods her head in a tender glance as she smiles serenely to the sky yes white, by far the purest scent for it speaks of heav'nward Angel's wing and a friend's gentle embrace when the heart is sorely tried I'll take my world colored just as nature intends and live at peace with nature, God, and man < !signature--> --William Shakespeare [This message has been edited by X Angel (edited 05-02-2000).] |

Mmmm..Smells good to me. Beautiful work here. How are ya? Nothing can deter a poet, for he is actuated by pure love. Who can predict his comings and goings? "Thoreau" |

Colors with scents!!! How wonderful! Did you know that there is a 'condition' where some highly artistic people actually HEAR colors? And certain musical tones are visualized to them as an exact particular color? I just learned of this recently, and it's very intriguing. They say there's thousands of people with this type of heightened sensory perception... and you have written a poem here which shows your heightened sensory awareness and the poem is beautiful! Thank you for sharing this. |

*sigh* You left out my favorite color... Where's the "Black"??? Guess I will have to write my own color (or colorless as the case may be) poem. Seriously, you've have made the spectrum a palpable sensation here. Not many people could achieve this with so much grace. Wonderful poem, Angel. Michael |
