~Inspiration Born Of Night~

Unspoken words tell secrets ...
but hide between the lines.
Finding solace in the night,
as shadows press for time.

Burning hours no one knows,
while all the worlds at rest.
Mercifully inspiration comes,
passion of lyric be thy quest.

Savor every word and line ...
in hopes that it will last.
For soon the sun will steal the moon ...
the night is fading fast.

Listen for gifted voices,
whispered wisdom ... handed down by time.
No rest now for the poets pen,
they must capture every verse and rhyme.

"What light thru yonder window breaks"...
with the dawn ... this poet may now rest.
The shadows will return with the night ...
inspiration will return as this poets welcome guest.

Very well written Jm.  I believe there is a lot of truth in there.  How did you get so smart anyway?

The night definitely has a hypnotic hold on us poets, doesn't it....?     I always seem to write better when the moon rises, too. Great job.

Safety in the darkness away from sight....at least I know that's when I tend to open up. You captured it well J.M. as you have the gift to do S.S.

Janet, I think this is one of the most sincerely soft poems I've read of yours.  It had a caring flow throughout it....very beautiful girl.  I know he'll appreciate you writing it.  You depicted his world well in this.  Exquisite my dear - you really have some talent hidden in your socks you know?  LOL

Janet Marie,
My dear,  you have taken my breath away -- yet again.   I love the imagery that flows from your poet's pen, and the emotion that comes from your poetic heart.  I always love your work.

Have a good day!
Love Ya~

JM,
shame on the sun, for stealing the moon,
but the sun promises, to return it soon
for the poets, release comes with time
freeing them all with expression in rhyme

~~enjoyed your poem BEG~~~
