A Week of Haiku Everybody wakes Monday is just for the rats At the gate, the race The Numbing wears off Tuesday, time to look at life Why do I do this Full steam ahead mates Wednesday, life begins to flow Hump day is today The office chatter Thursday, weekend planning day I smell a party Hop and skip to work Friday, everyone smiles And, there at the gate Poetic temptress Saturday, love lines progress Kiss her with my verse Smiles in her eyes Sunday, bliss is Eternal Dreams fade back to life James Parker Haley Monday May 1, 2000 |

denise, thank you.... its Monday I had a moment away from the rat race, back to my favorite place... Claire, yes the weekend, I live for it. Damit Janet..... you can do this, its fun and easy... do like I do, multiple haiku's make one big poem.... three lines per... one big theme. You can do multiples can't you? ![]() Parker |

Parker, I really enjoyed this. It makes me smile to think of my week, going so quickly, in 3 line haiku. Joanna What better way to become immortal than to wake up each day and write? Ray Bradbury |

You know, I've often wondered if the days would be easier to get through if they weren't named! LOL Sounds like a crazy concept, but think about it! If we didn't have calendars, and whatnot, we'd never know what day it is, or even the month or year...we'd just "live" each day to it's fullest....not knowing....does that make sense? hehehe I too, find myself dreading Mondays, and dreaming of the weekends....fabulous work you've done here sir. So glad I didn't let it slip me by. Here's to a HUMP Wednesday! (hhhmmmppp....) ![]() |

very creative, though I might argue whether this is truly haiku (in spirit not in form). I like Saturday's verse the best! |

I don't write haiku but you're tempting me. This is good stuff. I like the line, I smell a party! Peace. ACT. More, more, more! |
