Have you seen Amanda? I've looked most everywhere Just when I think I've found her I find she isn't there I looked behind the sofa And underneath the bed I didn't find Amanda I found the cat instead She isn't in the kitchen sink Or in the cookie jar Is she hiding on the moon? Or swinging from a star? Maybe she went climbing On a mountain way up high Or sailing on a paper boat Beneath a purple sky I peeked inside the mailbox But no Amanda there I searched in all the cupboards No Amanda anywhere! Where are you Amanda? Are you in the Booney Docks? Or hiding in the dresser drawer Where Grandma keeps her socks? Maybe she's at Chucky Cheese Or visiting the zoo Maybe she has gone to sleep in Grandpa Richard's shoe Come out Amanda! Come with me! Aunt Debbie wants to play! There are so many lovely things That we can do today Let's ride on silver butterflies And dance up in the trees Have pillow fights til late at night Eat candy when we please Have YOU seen Amanda? I'm certain she's somewhere If only you would tell me Then I could find her there! (Written for my little cure for writers block... Amanda!) |

How much fun is this? I love it! Ellie A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails. |

Thanks everybody, I've been having alot of fun lately, writing little story-poems for my niece. I have added lots of graphics and had them bound into little books for her. She loves it when I send them to her so that her grandmother can read them at bedtime! Debbie |

This took me back to when my children were small and we played these games too. I don't know which of us enjoyed them more! I guess it brought out the child in me also. Very good! Betty Lou Hebert |

Hey reminds me when I was a kid Don't ever give in, if you do you've lost everything you've ever had and everything you hope to gain, but if you carry on your already winning. |

Artistic and creative poem here.....little children are one of the world's most precious and endearing inspirations that all should treasure. You take me through all these wonderful objects and places trying to find your little Amanda. So many pictures created in my head. What a Delight!!!!! ~ShadowLost~ ...and now these three things remain: faith, hope and love. But, the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13.13 |
