thou hast wandered in my dreams
beckoning with a bright smile
thy radiant countenance lights up
the southern skies so far away

past into future by stepping into now
our twin stars dance together/apart
thy presence is felt as in a reverie
of lambent thoughts plucked from the aire

songs of words that thee sings has bound
me with the silken strands of friendship
a endless tug of familiarity and rapport
around the flaming fire in a dark night

I would think your friend isn't too far away. Perhaps in miles but not in thought. I really liked this one Dancer...
