what or whom we support
yet we plead our cases
to our hearts
to our friends
to the not-friends
trying to justify
love,
trust,
dislike

yes, we are all lawyers
for we can all argue so well
on the basis of
our constitutional right
to speak, argue and debate
never giving up,
though we might be wrong
more often than not

tell me what is
the heaviest part of a man?
I will tell you it is his ego
and it is also the darkest
and the saddest,
and the most remote
removed,
disconnected!

yes, we are all lawyers
I tell you,
and I can prove it!
