Long ago rose petals pressed between the pages of an old book of French love sonnets, that holds the memories of loves gone by, and gardens fragrant memories of Summer's past. These rooms, this house unfolds her ancient loves. Petal by petal her beauty doth remain. Now to be restored to her former glory days, as when her sisters reigned in all their splendor in elegant accord as the Queens of Paris, where Napolean and Josephine danced their waltz neath the grandeur of her mansard roof. The beauties of Paris descending in flowing gowns, one by one down these three story tower stairs. Fires ablaze, candelabra chandeliers alight, as gabled dormer windows illumine garden paths. Here in Centreville she reigns in glory. As in days of old and gardens reborn, her illustrious beauty and timeless elegance. Paris, Springtime and genteel splendor restored. A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails. [This message has been edited by ellie LeJeune (04-13-2002 01:50 PM).] |

I want to be there....now!!! Lovely Ellie. A fine piece of writing the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost |
