My New Job

I have a new place to work today
same company mind, but now
a different game
where once I walked and read the dials
now customers call to hear my
' over the phone smiles '
I laugh because it feels so good,
just like any job really should
and wonder as I hide
in my little hidey hole
do the others all around me,
know this job is gold??
I mean really I have worked
outside for many years
and often I have dealt with things
that to others would bring tears
but now I get to dress up nice
but still don't have to wear a tie,
and though outnumbered 10 to 1
I am a REALLY happy guy ( laughter follows )
Now I know that most of us,
and once upon a time even me
kicked and groaned at bosses grim
at circumstances as they may be
so now, since I am happy
I wish for you the same,
and may the drought of soul
you feel right now....
be quenched...by sweetest rains..
