wound round a live wire in moors eye i am an escapee taken back by mirrors in the blue sky the hills wait and watch and now approach tripped by winding paths knowing and waiting by crystal streak in mind drifting elegantly in beautiful colours ice blue and light scarlet weaving mind in novel textures running feeling pounding earth beneath my feet the heat ball of radiation radiating my brain splintering shards grassy pillow soft shoulder earth walls of grey friend endless cool a warm bed of heather waiting on dawn Tripped by us here in a wildfall day intimate miles between touches of spirit colours moving as friends of dreams i speak and vibrations are like sand hot in my nose And all life goes on around so many tracks and traces of it infinite roads and symphonies in every moment lost and still more in the next and the next and the next the smell taste touch know mind love dream heart sting kiss tear ghost Tripped in my heart holding you all closer than blood everything in a moment lasting forever knowing that we hide from knowing and still laughing and knowing it can never be said |

Thank you Joyce. This was my first trip on LSD, a half capsule of strawberry fields, taken one sunny Scottish day in the summer of 1968 or thereabouts. It was a very intense trip lasting perhaps 10 hours. The full story is over in the prose section. It isn't something that is safe or everyday to venture into but I wouldn't have missed it in retrospect. That kind of vulnerability and closeness of feeling to the whole world is not something I would have missed. *) |
