Before The Throne The wee bird came back puffed up, shuffling to and fro begging on frozen windowsill. Like depression age hobo looking to work for food seeking handout from riches. A perception of treasure ring of keys a token, wealth proven in nickel and brass. Like ancients before kings in many splendored palace bowing before wealth, power. Treasures laid up in dust stored away, gaining interest while perceptions do the living. Hat in hand asking for loans share of imagined sustenance evidenced by food laden tables. A wee bird dances in the cold seeking from, for wealth a lord’s indulgence. Man kneels before throne seeking from, for wealth his Lord’s benevolence. |

Very good, tramp poet. Yes, we are often in the same poverty as the week birds. Joyce |
