its funny
how you have a way about you
how it makes the world see you
how they treat and scmooze and coddle
in all you say and do
yet the one who should be most
seems to be the least
the one who should lead them all
is always in retreat

or worse

when times are hard
or stresses high
you only add gas to the fire
you mingle in some well placed doubt
and cater Your desires
I wasn't atught to think that way
and even less to feel
its awkward and ungainly
so very hard to wield

and it hurts

the way you mock me
oh so earnestly
for loving you and such
for trying to treat you like a lovely soul
when your heart is hardened too much
why do I bother? why do you matter?
or is it simply me?
not willing to give up on love
its damn pathetic to be me.
