The Heavens Know

Morning sunlight warms branches that quiver
cold from winters night
the cloudless azure sky ask for more
where does the robin hide?
till he embraces with warm wings
are the green pines his silent abode?
till the secret is released
who knows where he goes?
the heavens know

This is lovely! We have had the odd robin or two around most of the winter. I hope that means an early spring.
