Tonight, I will hold your hand
but you will not see me and I do not
know if you feel it, there.
I, we, will wander into places veiled
in clandestine tears.

I will hum to you softly,
and perhaps you'll hear the Righteous Brothers
singing "Ebb Tide" once again.

I will create more verse
with syllables of how it was supposed to be,
all along.

Tonight, I will say "goodbye" to you once more,
again.

Thank you Ellie, yes, well, it is sad, I didn't want to post this in open, don't ask me why! But, I do have a lot to be thankful for. I'm just glad to be sitting here, quietly reflecting on a life filled with many blessings. Happy New Year to you sweet lady.

Irish Rose there is always a special place that we keep our deepest thoughts. Just sometimes it does help to let them loose to be shared with those who understand. Happy New Years and I'll be here to read as long as you continue to write.
