Did you look through the presents
And under the tree
For the lost part of Christmas
As it used to be?

Did your greeting say all
That it needed to say?
Did you mark a big X
And send it on it's way?

The gifts may be lovely
The festivities gay,
But is Christ still in CHRISTmas
On this Christmas Day?

interesting.
sometimes i do in fact wonder if we haven't taken the commercialism that surrounds the holidays so far that we've forgotten their original intent.
this poem, of course, says sorta the same thing, but much more elegantly.
very nice.
