To The End
Her eyes are welling,
Her cheeks are soaking,
Her emotions are muddled,
She's standing there choking.

She knows the truth,
Her love has departed,
How can this happen?
She's there broken-hearted.

He left her,
She's all alone,
He went horribly,
He went to the Unknown.

He did it because of her,
She knew it well,
She shouldn't have told him,
She was starting to swell

So with child she cries,
Her beloved couldn't cope,
Harmful thoughts of another,
So he used the rope.

Handle a child,
She is forlorn
Such thought inescapable,
Her baby to be born.

She must give birth,
Six months down the line,
Her baby's almost ready,
Special month: number nine.

So there she stands,
Her mind a muddle,
Significant thoughts,
Herding into a puddle.

She frowns,
Silently comprehending,
Her last memory of her husband,
Secretly condescending.

She will have to cope,
She will have to defend
Her newborn baby,
She will cherish to the end.

(Hey everyone, this is my first poem on this site, the start of each sentence either begins with H or S which is supposed to represent He and She: the different views males and females have about children and committment.)

Hello~
WELCOME to the Corner Pub of PiP~

It's a little difficult for me to give more of a positive response to this emote,
for I felt this piece was fueled by the inspire of the suicide written about -

'He left her,
She's all alone,
He went horribly,
He went to the Unknown.

He did it because of her,
She knew it well,
She shouldn't have told him,
She was starting to swell

So with child she cries,
Her beloved couldn't cope,
Harmful thoughts of another,
So he used the rope.'

It is my earnest belief that suicide is never, ever an option to living life, no matter how badly one feels at the moment~

On the other hand, unfortunately, suicide is sometimes a 'slice of life' that some often feel the need to write about, but it is to be handled responsibily and to show some consquences for one having taken that action~

Leaving loved ones to cope with the death is so selfish of the one who takes their own life~

Anyhow, maybe enough of my 'preaching' ...

Marge is right.  We do try to keep certain subjects out of our poetry.  However, you have written about a problem that needs attending.  Somewhere else.  Love, Joyce

W E L C O M E

Welcome to our little corner Forget-Me-Not and I do hope that you enjoy your stay here at Passions posting poems, reading poems, getting responses, and forming friendships.

Big Smiles.

Though it was sad, I thought that you expressed yourself very well and I thought that it was quite creative how you began each line with an "S" or an "H."

Good job, God bless, Welcome to Passions, and I do hope to read more of your poetry here in the future.

-Bob
