They say hearts can't be broken.
You've proven their words untrue.
My heart was shattered in tiny bits
When it came back from you.

I gave you love, you toyed with it,
And tossed it back to me.
It now lies in a sodden heap
Of utter misery.

Only true love can mend a heart
That has been so abused.
Does someone want a tattered heart
That's been so badly used?

I'm glueing it, re-filling it
And hanging it out to dry.
When I think it has recovered,
I'll give love another try.

Good outlook Joyce ... one should never give up on love because of bad experiences, true love cures all when it is finally found

Joyce: Sad little poem, but at least there is hope in the end of a healed heart and another chance at love. Remarkable organ isn't it?
