Anticipating Summer's Solstice

In a few days Summer's Solstice will reign before us,
memories of feasting abound within thine heart and mind.
Thy first feast alone attended never shan't I forget,
for mine White Knight, a treasure trove there to find.

A Knight bound by his oath of royal duty,
never failing those whom he honored to serve.
In all his journeys through thickets and glades,
he always held true to himself without reserve.

When this Summer's Solstice is upon all in Camelot,
I wish that ye all pay honor to thy White Knight.
Praise be to all thine royalty that attend this feast,
Thine Knight appointed shall always protect thy plight.

As each day after this solstice shortens its length,
in the morrow's of our minds, lest not forget our passion.
We hast just one life, and one soul to share,
find that journey and embrace it with compassion.

Wow! Esmeralda is alive and well and just as sweet as ever! Will the good Knight join the feast and seek her favor? I guess time will tell! Excellent write.

Esmeralda

Wonderful versing indeed!

I know people whose surname is Ponsonby!  William (Bill) Ponsonby is Scottish.......I wonder whether he may be one of your relations?

Esmeralda,

I loved the romance in poetic verse so exchanged betwixt thee and thine most gallant White Night...

...and I enjoyed your most kind admonition that we cherish each present passing day.

God bless.
