line 1 - 2 syllables
line 2 - 4 syllables
line 3 - 6 syllables
line 4 - 8 syllables
line 5 - 2 syllables

By the way, this is some info I have for Cinquains:

Line 1: one word (noun): title or name of the subject.
Line 2: 2 words (adjectives): describes the title.
Line 3: 3 words (verbs): action related to the title.
Line 4: 4 words: feeling about the title, complete sentence.
Line 5: one word referring back to the title of the poem (synonym for the title or a word close to it in meaning).

That is definitely for a Modern Quatrain ... maybe some of the others here will give it a try too~

I've asked a friend .. GOOD FRIEND .. to come in and read some of your stuff ... he likes Quatrains too~
