Ame~  You are so fun ... this is GREAT !!! And for those who might not know what the Nonet form consists of ... I'm providing the detail here~  I did one of these once ... will have to look it up~ *Huglets*  NONET A nonet has nine lines. The first line has nine syllables, the second line eight syllables, the third line seven syllables, etc... until line nine that finishes with one syllable. It can be on any subject and rhyming is optional. line 1 - 9 syllables line 2 - 8 syllables line 3 - 7 syllables line 4 - 6 syllables line 5 - 5 syllables line 6 - 4 syllables line 7 - 3 syllables line 8 - 2 syllables line 9 - 1 syllable Anyone else care to give it a try ? *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ |

Sadness, fear, love, hate are within me These are emotions that I see There is a lock, chain and key They are there, it is me Will they come shortly Very close, very near Forever Now here Thanks Well - it is my first try!! |

I like this poem, especially the rhyming pattern. But I find the last word a little weak compared to the rest. That's only my idea, it doesn't change the beauty of the message.. Ame et Poésie |

Oh what fun. May I play? February 8 was my husband's birthday. So my thoughts are nostalgic. A Nonet When I was a young and happy child I spent my days without a care. Mom and Daddy sheltered me From all evil out there. Sunshine followed me From dawn to dark. Now alone Life is Stark. All Alone And so blue. Where have they gone Those who loved me true? My mama and papa Were followed by my brothers. Growing old means saying goodbye To them and to so many others.
