Huddling in the dark

Tires sqealing,
the sound of shattering glass,
pain srikes me as the glass flies my way,
I ask am I going to die this way?

A broken pole crashes into the windsheild,
my head smashes in to the steering wheel,
into the mass of forest trees my car goes,
I ask is now where I am going to die?

I wake up with a start,
it was just my nightmare,
replaying all over to haunt me once more,
it just won't leave me alone.

Since that night every dream is the same,
the icy road and the trees,
all seem to reach out for me,
all wanting me to be their's forever,
all saying that I shouldn't have escaped.
