When October Comes When October comes, I go, To the stream where cattails grow. Where the ruddy rose hips glow And the bare, brown branches show. Then the sky's a different hue. Summer's not so dark a blue. Snowy days are drawing near. Winter whispers in my ear, Promises of crystal nights, Crispy mornings, cold delights. Stolen moments find me out, Scuffling burnished leaves about! Savoring the tangy air. Seeing beauty everywhere. How I treasure every day, As the autumn slips away.
