The morning drizzle brings transformation to dried-up jaded gardens. Under leaves, upon wet stones, snails crawl out, celebrate life. They circle each other in a mating dance, touch tentacles, male knocking female’s soft head with his. Male sprawls from his shell, engulfing her. Pressing foot against the other signals each to shoot love darts. Still bumping heads, mating goes on, be they both females or males. Snails, like humans, do defy the pulses of nature, discarding the illusion that propagation is an act not consummated between two of a kind. Or, did the gods Aphrodite and Hermes bestow on snails this whimsical power to prostitute their own selves, create them hermaphrodites? Can sex be more weird than this? |

It just depends is it more then just to procreate? Or are they finding somethings more? In everythings is life and love I belive and why should snails be any different? I liked this it something to read thats just not the same old thing!! |

I think it's just to procreate, I mean do snails think and feel passion too - it would just seem weird to us humans that they can have sex (procreate)be they of the same sex -I was browsing over the topic of hermaphrodites and this find really amazed me. So many wonders of this universe that we have never dreamed of.. thanks for the read.. |
