Botanical Delights

Botanicals beauties are restless
or so it would seem
As this Ardisia crenata bursts forth
in a steady Spring stream
of red berries galore
and even more
New flowers of white
crown the top with delight~

The most gorgeous leaves,
crisp bright shiny green,
with the loveliest scalloped edges
that I’ve ever seen~

A naturalized botanical
of shores from afar
Possibly invasive … but, so far
she simply adorns the walkway
to our welcoming door~
