Wrapped in Memories There's no one with me in my home Except a loving memory. So why is this the very place That I will always want to be? If a palace were available This house would still be my first choice. Its walls through all the years and tears Still echo with his beloved voice. We have been told that walls can't speak But when they've known a love like ours, They offer up a warm embrace That comforts in life's coldest showers. So when my feet have carried me To foreign places far from here, I'll yield to the allure of them; Then hurry back to place most dear. Wrapped in the memories of love As safe as in those arms of yore I'll wait until He comes for me To take me to those gone before.
