Smite heavily my brow with weapons fierce
Thrust angrily with wicked steel to pierce
Send brigands boldly crashing at my door
To strip the naked flesh, my blood to pour

Loose dragons’ fire to char my shattered bone
In satan’s darkness deep and all alone
Vile demons searing talons at my breast
Agonies to pound my senses without rest

Yet, none of these I fear as much as this
That I may nere again thy lips to kiss
Those tortures are miniscule by degree
To loss of your sweet face eternally

This cross I bear is mine alone through fate
My sin is that I simply came to late
This truth is etched in flame with numbing pain
Such love that might have been I'll never gain

Farewell my almost love for now we part
My icy blood seeps slowly from my heart

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

pegasus111:  This is even painful to read! I can only hope it is a case of masterful writing and not personal experience!

I hold the same view as Trillium. I hope you are writing poetry and not truth.  A masterful job.  Love,  Joyce

No, my dear friends. It is but the spawn of a demented mind...LOL

Thank you for your concern. It is good to have friends who care...

For the three or four times a year that I decide to post here, I always find something from you thats more deep and more interesting than the last!  To go from something so dark/painful/sinister to something so filled with love/admiration/lust and tie it all together is as saddening and tragic as it is heartfelt and honest feeling.  Kudos Pegasus.
