When They Were Samll I'd like to recall them The songs I sung for them When our three children were small. I made up the lyrics, Sometimes in hysterics We'd laugh at the fun of it all. They'd cuddle in bed then After prayers and the Amen Their daddy would come down the hall. We'd give hugs and kisses To our son and young misses; When our three children were small. Dear Joyce, You've awakened the reminiscing mood in me. *sigh* maybe a follow-up poem would be: "Now that we're old" or something like that..for me, being with my grandkids brings me back to "those days", for a while. |
