Destiny Divine

The weeds of umbrage,
anguished hours,
Spent in dwelling on
The showers
Of things that did not
Go my way
When I was selfish
And did not pray,
I blocked with fog
The destined light
And missed the chance
Of godly sight.
When I envision
Hopes and dreams,
My providence,
Then it seems
Is guided by
Surrender still
And finally by
God’s own will.
When the mountain
That I climb
Is leveled by
The length of time,
The blessings
That are given me
Are more then I
Could ever see.
