In my local Library a Statue of a little girl sitting on a Bench and reading a book. She has pigtails and no shoes on. It was dedicated to the Library by a Librarian who died of Heart Attack. I was inspired to write a poem about this little girl.I dedicated the poem to the Library on 1/21/05 and I would like to share this poem with you. Thank You! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Essence Of Time Sitting on a Bench is a little girl With pigtails and a smile so grand Reading in awe as the pages unfurl From The Book of Knowledge in hand Learning eyes light up and shines Through all pages of prose and rhyme Reading each book of many pages Magically taken through essence of time By: "thepassionatepoet" |
