The Smell of Peppermint

tis the season for all good things
cookies baking, family gatherings
the smell i think that gets me most
tis the smell of peppermint...
you see that is the smell
of the man who is but now a ghost.

those little candys and the canes
bring back memories of love
i wish, i pray for no new pains
but once again it is everywhere
there is no escaping the sweet sweet smell
of peppermint, i know so well

Thank you michelle, tramp is but lost to me at this point. he can't see what i feel for him, but he will always be in my heart and love somehow will stay forever with him.
