Our freedom has been threatened,
Our lives have changed forever.
Our nation stands united,
To fight the fear together.

We're caring for our injured,
And praying for the lost.
Mourning friends and family,
With their lives, they paid the cost.

We will hang our heads to weep,
For countrymen lost today.
We'll light candles in their honor,
And bow our heads to pray.

But, we'll rise above the ashes,
And our flag we'll proudly fly,
Above our wounded country,
With our heads held way up high.

They have shaken the foundation,
Of our buildings standing tall.
But, the foundation of America,
Was never touched at all.
