In the moon garden away from the terrace,
miles from the promenade of ardent winds
        who compliment your ghost, my trance.

I’ll pull you through another storm
as wildness and sweet tongues
        curl in parched favor one with the other.

Cover me in mandarin cloths
and leave your scent.
Let me unwrap you once again
before we are silver and pale.
        The night is brass; let go, let go.
