Tearssting like shards of glass,
burst through my pain-proof dam.
Crash angrily forth - unstoppable.
ugly shameful torrent of self pity.
Inner grime is churned and spat,
from a litter-strewn memory house,
where I have dumped each hurt,
in bitter sweepings of cruelty.
Jagged remarks, razor sharp,
Lumps of solid gristly pain,
are spewed like fleeing rats,
from a suddenly un-blocked drain.
Then all at once the sobbing stops,
river of hurt has finally susided.
Leaving a residue of numbness,
clean and washed and calm.

Deep, emotion-filled rendering of pain. It brought back memories of a time when I felt the same emotions, only I could never put them into words. Very well written!
