You treat me like a trophy, That's all I am to you. Something you can brag about, When nothing is going right. Something you can turn you back on In the middle of the night. Someone you can laugh with When there's no one else around. Someone to sit aside all day, And wait for your return. The way you say my name sometimes, Makes me want to smack you. The way you touch my skin at night, Forces me to reject you. I thought that you were different. Slowly I'm beginning to see, Anything you do or say, does not include me. Anything I say or do, you can pay no mind to. After all I'm only here for show, Your eluded trophy.

I hope the girl in this poem is aware that she has too much worth to be anyone's trophy. Love, Joyce

Amanda,
You've captured in your poetic writing what quite a few young women experience. I hope this does not pretain to you.
