I made a fool of myself,
   falling apart.

My shame brought even more of the same.

For the first time in my life,
   before the pain that would befall,
      all the pieces of my life seemed well in place.

I felt such strength within myself,
   and I never felt so free.
It was as if all came together
   for reasons beyond me.
I thought my prayer was finally answered,
   I thought that love was finally true,
and that the troubles of my heart
   were finally through.

Why did I fall apart so madly?
   There're many answers to that question.
Seemed so secure within myself,
   I thought myself a mighty bastion.
But how quick the stones had separated,broken all apart.
For the first,it seemed,and deepest...
   love had melded with my heart.

Such a fool I was...a spectacle,
   a mass of tears and dying.
There was not even one iota
   of desire to keep on trying.

Life fooled the greatest fool
   when I held such strong belief.
Turned out to be a lie.
   Turned into a living grief.

And now existence is just living day to day...
Such a fool I was believing all you'd say.

Love makes fools of many people! Hopefully you will go on to find the right person one day.
