father tell me now whos this man hes in our photos I cant remember my youth I cant remember this man he looks so familiar his face resembles mine where did he go where has he been will I ever have a chance of seeing him again man in my pictures he lives in my glossy memories where did it go wrong why do I have to cry out and sing this sad song I don’t know you and never will I see you holding my hand in a displayed memory why cant I live that memory now just know where ever you are time keeps chasing me and ur memory fades I only wish I knew that man in our photos man in my pictures he lives in my glossy memories where did it go wrong why do I have to cry out and sing this sad song |

edwreck02: This is a very touching poem! It must be very hard growing up without a father and wondering where he is! You have expressed that feeling very well. Betty Lou Betty Lou Hebert |

Eduardo,I am very sorry for your loss.I feel your pain and empathize.Although I had my father till '96,he was never really ever there for me and he was abusive and neglectful.I don't think there is much difference from never having a nuturing parental relationship and having one and quickly losing it.The hunger gnaws at you and the deficit will always exist. The only things I can think of that may aleviate the hunger and pain are strong and supportive friendships, and perhaps even "adopting" someone who will be like a father or mother to you.It can happen for it has happened to me already.Love takes many forms and you can still be nurtured in a loving relationship.I hope that this is the case for you. Peace,Street Heart If a man has not discovered something he is willing to die for,his life is not worth living. |

Eduardo, A very touching and sad read. I envy those who have/had a father in their lives. I haven't seen mine in over 30 years. Patricia 'When you find a dream within your heart, don't ever let it go. |
