May Moon

The May moon wears a halo
As she travels through the night.
Across the newly greening trees
She sheds her misty light.
Casts shadows in the meadow,
Where the deer come out to graze
And she sets the lake to gleaming
Down pathways that she lays.

The hours pass in quiet
As though reverence compels
Everything to worship her,
While she spins May moon spells!
I walk slowly, quite entranced,
Follow all along the way,
Where she has lit the country road,
This lovely moon of May!

As a night person, I've spent many hours just gazing at the moon or watching in silent wonder as the night comes alive far after everyone's gone to bed.  Thank you for sharing this lovely word painting on a bright May moon.

I enjoyed it very much.

THANK YOU for writing this Moon of May~

Dear Marge:  I have only seen the May moon, one night since she became full.  Hope it won't be the only one during her reign!
