Heart Shattered Pat Valle  Oh heart! Shattered like the ax on a fallen tree. No more will the song of love fill my endless dreams. Your words of empty promises deceived my trusting heart, casting shadows like darkened alleyways, leaving behind these endless tears. Had I known of the secrets which lay hidden to me, pain and sorrow would not follow, and I would be free. As a new day approaches, perhaps another will come. Spreading petals of roses, instead of broken dreams. |

Bittersweet poem because it is well written, but wrought of sorrow. A new day will indeed come, and all you have to do until then is dream of rose petals, and then even the broken dreams seem sweet. -Joey |
