Unknown Things

I want to see the world with colorful eyes
not scrutinize and dissect the reasons why
a bird flying high gives rise to my desire
to drift with him
surrounded by white puffy clouds
or how a rose in full bloom
dazzles the naked eye
and can make a woman cry.
I’d like to know how it feels
to snuggle with soft baby birds
in a nest woven by a mysterious knowledge
not learned in a textbook.
It reminds me of the fact
that some unknown things
leave me wondering
just where would I be
if I could not believe
in something more mystifying
than me.

its the unknown that keeps us striving to search and learn...
and these are beautiful "unknowns" youve expressed here....

im sure you are a deep well of beauty, as mystifying as everything you seek

somehow, a poet seeking knowledge, outweighs the idea of science seeking knowledge, and I don't think they would both make the same discoveries

enjoyed your thoughts

what you have always thought
you will continue
to get
what you have always got!

Oooooh, me too~
Somehow or another, I 'think' it might be akin to snuggling that soft baby cheek of a granddaughter~

So very lovely to have you 'home' and sharing~

Deb:  How little we know.  How much there is to learn! Lovely poem.

To know, or not to know... to be left wondering and form our own impressions of what things could be like... or to not dream..  I vote most heartedly for the second choice both times

You've got some beautiful lines here   Thank you for sharing them with us.

Errm.. I didn't quite word that right above... "to not dream" should have been listed first.

Where is the edit reply button at?
