Upon the virgin canvas His genius flows-
abstractly His brush does sway.
Upon His easel He does compose,
the beauty He tries to portray.

He dabs His brush in the waning sunset,
mixing it with the moon's reflection;
beautifully portraying the silhouette,
that is so vivid in perfection.

He then moved to His limitless palette,
immersing His brush in a deep lagoon,
then sprinkling it with Heavenly whit,
and just a hint of the summer's moon.

Then it was time for her dark complexion,
He went to collect the secrets of sea;
gathering the dark sand He did begin,
blending brown with the sun's dying plea.

He then journeyed to a meadow valley,
where He found June's newly sprung crimson rose,
He carefully harvested the virgin beauty,
and transplanted it just below her nose.

Then at last He turned to the star-filled sky;
painting the beauty of the wondrous night-
her radiating beauty did solemnly deny,
heavenly bodies from bearing their light.

As His last stroke fell across the canvas,
the master artist sat in evaluation;
this portrayal of perpetual bliss-
was by far His most wondrous creation!
