DOWN THE ROAD

Down the road I trek
I am but that my goal.
My heart controls my plight
With direction in my soul.

I quake that I would fall.
I fear the storm with gale.
Fragments of my heart are left
If I suspect to fail.

When I have reached my destiny,
I’ll serve you with my love.
The quest is mine, just mine alone,
Or is it from above?

One desire lingers on,
A fire strong when fanned,
To be with one who is my life
United hand in hand.
