Why Won’t You Listen Older, wiser- if so, why adults always frown. If wisdom is distributed by age, would it seem fair? I’m a child, I don’t know much about the world. Yet I know what makes a child smile or frown. I understand the simple goodness exists in mankind. I believe faith is easy, and trust isn’t a crime. My heart can tell, if you are lying or sincere. My mouth maybe straight forward, yet there’s no need to hide. For my heart is as clear as the moon, Something the world lacks. I’m a teenager, I don’t know yet how to adapt the world. Yet I have the courage, to seek and ask. I understand the world isn’t all pretty. Yet I believe, the world is much bigger than me. My heart can tell, if someone is making an excuse. My mouth maybe sharp like a sword, yet my heart is fragile as a shoot. For my heart is full of decision to make, Something the world thinks we don’t. I’m a young adult, I don’t know much about my purpose. Yet some answers has revealed while others I’m examining. I understand how it must have felt, because I learnt. I believe good friends are made through time. My heart can tell, if the feeling is just temporary. My mouth may not have said much, yet deep down my heart silently nodded. For my heart is full of dreams, Something the world always hushes. I’m a grown adult, I don’t know yet what my children will become. Yet I have tried my best in doing my job. I understand now what my parents must have felt. I believe true understanding is empathy. My heart can tell, if my child is in danger. My mouth may have said angry words, yet my heart wants to give a hug. For it is now I fully understand what sacrifices means to me, Something the world thinks it doesn’t exist. I’m an old man, I don’t know how long I will live. Yet all things don’t seem to be matter now. I understand Earth is just a temporary station. I believe peace comes from within. My heart can tell, if a bird is singing. My eyes may wear glasses, but my heart is crystal clear, For time has teach me patience and love, Something the world is lacks. (big angel hugs) God Bless You, dearest friend, this reminded me so much of the new Five For Fighting song "100 Years" "Fifteen here's still time for you, time to buy and time to choose, fifteen, there's no wish better than this, when you've only got a hundred years to live." (smiles) God Bless You, sweet friend, you're young yet you are an old soul too, yay, I love this, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Eliza, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "You'll find something that's enough to keep you But if the bright lights don't receive you You should turn yourself around and come back home" MB20 |
