The Arrogance of Winter

It’s me.
I blush in wintry white
And send the grasslands
Out of sight.

I hold the reins
Left from fall-
Mounds of snow-
I like them tall.

I wear a little
Teasing smile.
Frigid is my
Icy style.

I’ll stay as long
As I shall deem.
Pull out your hair-
Let out a scream.

Oh hark! I hear
The blossoms sing.
I fall to death.
It’s budding spring.

I like winter in general ... just a few things that come with it I don't care for, like ... scraping windshields, icy seats, road grime, falling on ice, neighbour blowing snow against my house, finding frozen birds beneath my feeder, cats chewed up in my fan belt, getting plowed in after I shovel, roof leeking from ice dams ... etc., etc. ... my wife insists the one or two times we go skiing makes up for the minor displeasures

(giggles in delight) Hehehe, you can't win them all, Frosty, I respect how you make the kids happy in winter but they need their hoses and swimming pools and swingsets too, yay! (giggles) This is so cute, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Barbara, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
