LEST I BE
Lest I be an artist
And wisk my magic brush.
Lest I be a seamstress
And sew with golden touch.
Lest I sing out notes
That impress a nightengale.
Lest I be a warden
And oversee a jail.
Lest I be an actress
And dramatize my spot.
Lest I be a writer
And delineate my plot.
Lest I be a teacher
And present my lesson plan.
Lest I be in science
And research all I can.
Lest I be a chef
And cook a scrumptious feast.
Lest I be ordained
And, thus, become a priest.
Lest I be a doctor,
A surgeon, or a vet,
I try to be a poet
And this is what I get!

(smiles) And you've hit big with this endeavor, yay, if not a grand occupation you've definitely found a true talent always, yay, this is so cleverly and wittedly written, it reminded me of "Maybe you can fly a jet, maybe you can be a vet!" by Dr. Seuss, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Barbara, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
