A Fly's Tears I Spirally I court my flower; Her beauty causes me daze as I fly. I have always want to be a king, Yet I lack the charisma to crown her queen. Silently I sob on her petals; Tears shower like dews, enhancing her charm. Leaving behind a crown, who want to be her king, I can only ponder yesterday dream, as I'm flying home. II For someone that's not in the norm, an outcast, The courage needed to seek a friend is double. For someone who thinks she isn't pretty, How can she convince she has charisma. Seeing everyone has a group, It seems impossible to be assimilated. The thoughts of being opened indeeds seems frightening, The thoughts of being mocked ceased all courage. III So wind reconcile with me in warm puff, I continue sailing along in the wind. Fly, oh fly, let's be company, For here is a place of loneliness. So wind be our blessing fan, Blow us mildly to another garden. Hopefully, there will be more flowers, And more loners join our company. (c)Jan 20, 2004 Eliza Simmons Eliza Simmons |
