Etched in the illusion of time

0 posted 2004-01-13 04:30 PM

Hair had thickened in folds of auburn lace,
brushing cheek, ne'er to touch porcelain bone,
divided breaths shivered as hands atoned
for ev'ry dulcet sin she e'er effaced.
Whispers of day slanted through, onto skin,
whilst confessing her need for consonance
she implored for silv'ry deliverance
from sanctity of cello, souls akin.
Lighter, she spindled fingers 'round wood bow
tasting chords with a fragrant tragedy,
the maple essence knew veins, hopelessly..
her eyes bled glass, for all beauty bestowed.
Weeping strings echoed, as she softly found
true penance endured in glorious sound.

If I were to touch you, would you bleed a velvet river, running miracles through the sodden ground? --Moi
