This was a christmass gift to my parents, they very much appreciated it.

To My Parents

You brought me into the world
You sheltered me and nurtured me
You tended all my cuts and bruises
And scared away the dark

You taught me my numbers and ABC’s
You taught me right from wrong
And everything I would need
One day when I grew up

You put me on the straight path
And encouraged me to walk it
You stood behind me always
And supported me

Through your guidance I grew up
From a small boy into a man
Filled with dreams for the future
And the courage to chase them

I took my first steps into the world
On my own for the very first time
While you watched anxiously
Ready to catch me should I falter

You offered your help to me
When it looked like I needed it
And though I turned away your help
It was comforting to know you were there

You have always been there for me
Whenever I needed you the most
Ready to help me however you could
Even when I was too proud to ask

You raised me with love
And I know one thing
No one could ask or wish
For a better mother and father

Now that's what parents are supposed to be!! Not all people have that in their lives so it's good you know you are blessed, because you really are. Very much so. Thanks for sharing this sweet write. Very nice! Restores your faith that it's still out there!!!!
