Christmas Smiles Thoughts of Christmas make me smile, Even though it is awhile Before the joyous day appears. Surely everyone who hears Christmas carols, can feel a glow Of happiness begin to grow. Just see the children's shining eyes, Thinking of the sweet surprise They will find in early morn, Upon the day the He was born. When I decorate our tree, Many memories for me, Lie among the treasured things. Do I feel the angel's wings Flutter, as she takes her place Atop the tree?Then every face Wears a smile of pure delight, Seeing it adorned with light. We've had a few inches so far this winter, just enough to make driving treacherous, but only a few flurries on Christmas afternoon. No accumulation was one of the best gifts I could have gotten!  |
