The journey has been long… and arduous. A self-inflicted hell created from doubt… and despair. A creation so terrifying and so demoralizing that I shudder at my own reflection. Why did I choose this particular path? Why did I strap on the vestiges of this insanity? I know the Light is there. I see Its Presence in the corner of my eye. I sense Its fullness at the center of who I call “me”. I taste Its sweetness in the aftermath of a cool drink. Perhaps… Just perhaps… I could choose again. jc, this is so profound. i know exactly where you are coming from with this one nd you say it so well. I loved every line of every stanza but the ending was outstanding with this ..... Perhaps… Just perhaps… I could choose again. And… In this realization… I know I am Whole. wonderful !!! hugs june x |
