Fading day

As the twilight creatures begin to stir
Sky in half light turns sapphire blue
A smoky taste of burning leaves in the air
Awakens a moment of mourning for summer nights
Then a chilled brittle breeze snaps thoughts
And brings a second's wanting of springs new love
Acute sensations are churned with the leaves
Freeing casual memories and yearnings as they turn

Winter sparks a fresh new love song in my mind
Sweet Soft rythm of powdery snowfall emerge
Dreams of  firelight evenings  beckon
Warm cozy embraces and glowing nights of love
Tealights flicker, sensitive to unseen draughts
Images of heavy warm blankets of Eider down
Cuddles of affection on dark lazy mornings
And Long warm kisses at the lightening of dawn

As the light fades swapping sapphire for jet
I can sympathise with the dissappearing day
As my yearnings evaporate with the light
Turning regretfully to more mundane matters
And I sigh as I often do, when its time to go
Shrugging off inspired memories and yearnings
Caused by seasons stirrings in vibrant hues
Leaving me satisfied ready to face tomorrow

I love the way you come full circle with this poem...first starting to yearn for Summer, then getting into the romance of Winter then the coming down to reality...well crafted poem.
