Positive Underneath the veneer Behind the facade She trembles Hair tightly clasped Precision drawn mouth She trembles Eyes boldly daring Defiantly thrust chin She trembles Tailored in control Shoed in confidence She trembles The tremble gathers speed Running fluidly, wildly Through every nerve Every cell of her body Spiralling outwards Shaking violently Rocking her world Crumbling her defenses Woman becomes mother ....... She trembles |

It does have that frightening effect on us doesn't it? Becoming a mother for the first time can seem quite overwhelming. But, in time...we seem to get right into the swing of things. Good write..much enjoyed. Hugs~ ~Time has cast a spell on you, |

(big hugggssssssss) Oh June, though I am not a woman, I understand how big of a transition it can be for any woman to go to her motherhood, and I believe a husband and loved ones should always be supportive of her when she finally begins to get used to mothering! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, you will always be a wonderful mother, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet June, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton I don't need no proof when it comes to God and truth |

junemac: There is always an element of fear, besides the anticipation of becoming a mother, but it's always worth it! Enjoyed your poem. Betty Lou Hebert |

Lovely lyrics describing the turbulence of being a mother. I know this feeling quite well for when my aunt was pregnant with my cousin she often talked of feeling this way. |
